My hopes for achieving my goal were demoralized when I was advised by my parents to stay at home for two years before I could join university so that they could first educate my brother. This was after the cattle raiders (POKOTS) routed all my parents’ animals, which was their major source of income. So, they opted to educate my brother since they could not afford paying tuition for both of us.

Now that Global Joy has raised support for my education at the university, I am so happy. I promise to work hard and be the authentic leader that they are preparing me to become and transform my country, Uganda. God bless my sponsor, Global Joy Foundation, Steven Kim and the team he works with.”

“I want to express my gratitude to Global Joy Foundation for the opportunity of sponsorship. I started university by faith, but I didn’t have enough financial support bases.

My mother was focusing on my young siblings in the lower classes because that was her capacity and my father passed on in 2006. In the first semester of my second-year, things were hot and we almost gave up because of pressure for tuition. Around that very time is when Global Joy came as an Angel sent by God. I was relieved of the pressure and worried about what and where to get the tuition. Now I have finished my Bachelor of Arts in Social Science.

Thank you Pastor Steve Kim for this vision, all this would have not been possible. I appreciate Pastor Kephous for the mentorship to become a responsible person to serve my country with integrity. Thank you Global Joy.”

“I am so over joyed and grateful for the mentorship and support of tuition fees given to me by Global Joy Foundation. It was a journey of school fees struggles and I was always not sure whether I could go to the next level of education throughout my high school.

When I finished my senior six, I had no hope of joining the university immediately because there was no a clear source of income to cater for my tuition and the school fees for my siblings. I sat home for a year and I almost gave up with studies.

I thank Global Joy Foundation for restoring my hope and dream of becoming a Telecommunications engineer and improving my character through equipping me with leadership skills. Long live Steven Kim and Pastor Kephous Ndinywa. Long live our sponsors and may God bless you abundantly.”

“When I was in Primary Seven, I asked God for school fees. I struggled with school fees throughout the Ordinary and Advanced Levels. At Advanced Level, I did not sit for any termly exams but I was just luckily allowed to sit for final examinations though I had failed to pay all the termly school fees.

While joining the university, I used the small savings I made from my cow to study for only one year. When the money got over, I lost all hopes of completing my university degree and decided to only serve God instead. I had even gone on a mission when I received good news from Pastor Kephous about how I had got a sponsor from the Global Joy Foundation.

Sincerely no words could express how happy I was when I was informed that I had been chosen and among those to be sponsored. During that time my father and mother had no job just living by faith, indeed it would have been a challenge and an added burden if I was to continue with my studies. However, with this scholarship, you turned my vision into a real blessing.

Your generosity encourages me not to only continue my academics, but also to pursue my academic path as a future educator, mentor, and most important a servant leader. Once again this has been my best happily experienced moment ever achieved and celebrated in my life. I am grateful that this scholarship news has continued to lift my spirit tremendously.
